In a first time initiative, the English teachers of the CM2 accompanied the kids to a school trip where the purpose was to take the English language outside of the classrooms.
The joy of seeing the students of CM2C yesterday in the school field day was indescribable. Kids were very at ease communicating fluently in English so much that the guides (who were also speaking in English to the kids) thought that they were coming from an English school.
The trip was to Domaine Chouchene in the west Beqaa, and it included a visit to the botanical gardens, fun activities like tree climbing and bungee trampoline, and for the sturdiest ones, a military training course, all followed by team building activities. The kids had also the chance to visit in the same premises a popcorn factory and a cotton candy factory, where we were treated to have a taste at both. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the outdoors and had crazy fun.
The CM2C did not leave without putting their mark on the domain: each student planted a little sprout, and we labeled that garden after them. Special thanks to Mrs. Mouzannar who was of great assistance that day.
